THE POPE WAS SHOT

THE POPE WAS SHOT
              - Donna DiPietro

On May 12, 1981, I was a young married woman with two small children and worked for a temporary employment agency. One of my work assignments was in a first floor office at a hospital in a suburb of Boston.  I had worked there off and on for about six months. The room I walked through to get to my office was occupied by a large three-sided desk where a group of telephone operators sat answering the incoming calls. As the months went by, the women became aware of my psychic abilities when I told them things about themselves and their families and described in detail what the insides of their houses looked like. It was daily entertainment and nothing more, until this particular day. I was working at my desk and had a vision that the Pope was going to be shot within twenty-four hours. I did not know if this would actually happen and tried to put it out of my mind, but the vision kept coming back with a feeling of uneasiness. If I did not tell someone and it did happen, I would not be able to prove that I predicted it. But if I did tell someone and it did not happen, that would be good because the Pope would not have been shot. I got up from my desk and went into the room where the women sat around the large desk. I told them of my vision that the Pope would be shot within twenty-four hours and that I prayed he would be safe. There was nothing I could do. If I told the authorities, they would think I was crazy, and then if the Pope was really shot, they would wonder how I could possibly know what would happen. I wanted these women to know of my vision because it would prove that I could predict what would happen. The next day, on May 13, 1981, I was in my office working and a hospital employee from another department came running down the hall and ran into the switchboard room. She had just heard on the radio that the Pope had been shot. The women were stunned and said that I had predicted it. I do not know how I knew what would happen to the Pope, but I did, and I am thankful that he survived.

  1. Dear Donna,
There wasn’t anything you could do since no one would have believed you at the time and you weren’t 100% sure it would happen. I think that you were somehow allowed to see the future regarding this important world-wide event to prove to yourself and take away any doubt that you really do have psychic abilities.
